Motion Finish is a macOS app for editing video locally on your Mac.

Local media processing

Imported video, audio, transcript, waveform, and export files are processed on your device. Motion Finish does not upload your media files to our servers for silence removal, timeline editing, or export.

Purchase and subscription data

Motion Finish is distributed through the Mac App Store. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. Apple provides the app with signed transaction and entitlement status needed to unlock paid features; Motion Finish does not receive your full payment-card details.

Analytics and diagnostics

The app may use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Sentry for product analytics and crash diagnostics. These services can collect device, app version, operating system, crash, and usage-event data. Analytics can be disabled in the app settings where available.

Speech recognition

Motion Finish may request macOS speech recognition permission for transcription-related features. Permission prompts are controlled by macOS.

AI highlight detection

If you choose the AI highlight feature, transcript text and timing information are sent to our Firebase-hosted processing service and Google Gemini to produce highlight suggestions. The source video file is not uploaded for this feature. This processing occurs only when you request highlight detection.
